Why They Kill?

I was reading over the article from Wikipedia, "Serial Killers", and I was trying to figure out why do serial killers murder. There were those who murdered because of their upbring. Their intent is to hurt others around them because of the hurt that they have felt as a child. There are some who kill because of pschological issues that they are not even aware of. There were those who killed to survive and they would rob their victims. There were even those who killed because they just like to, but women are rare to be a serial killer and usually their motive is revenge. Why do you think women are rare to be serial killers and why are women their motives different from men?

  1. I think women have more remorse and can't let things go as easily or forget so it would make sence that there motive would be revenge and its probibly rare cause women think about there actions more before they do things but thats just my opinon

  2. Although I agree with this blog up to a point, I cannot accept its overriding assumption that women have different motives than men.

    1. My mistake. I should have put that wikipedia has on their article, not my opinion, that women generally tend to murder those that they have had a relationship with. The relationship could be friends, family, spouses, etc... There is just some kind of emotionally tie to their victims.

  3. I think that it's because women tend to internalize the anger and sadness caused ny trauma. While men project their anger onto others.

  4. I agree. I personally tend to keep my emotions inside and tend to hold onto anger, while my brother is quick to hit something.
